Francesca Immacolata Chaouqui: Spy Film Version Carried Out From Great Britain By Julian Assange?

One example. albeit minor, that is illuminating in this sense concerns the young Francesca Immacolata Chaouqui, appointed by the pope to become part of the reporting commission on the economic-financial activities of the Vatican, at the indication of the secretary of the same commission, Monsignor Angel Lucio Vallejo Balda, of the priestly fraternity of the Holy Cross, Opus Dei. It does not seem likely - as has indeed been written - that the lady in question has had a number of meetings with the pope. It appears instead that her valuation has not been hurt by the articles that - among other things - have connected her with tweets insulting toward Cardinal Bertone and have accused her of having violated the secrecy to which she was bound, by releasing via e-mail confidential documents concerning the commission.

At the Vatican, in fact, there are some who have convinced themselves that the lady is the victim of a "counter-revolutionary" conspiracy and that her tweets and e-mail have been manipulated through maneuvers carried out from Great Britain. There are few who give credit to this spy film version, but in the absence of a clear and unambiguous signal from the pope in this regard the majority of curia officials prefer to pretend that they believe it, in part to avoid, in the ecclesiastical camp, an end analogous to that which appears to have been met, in the media camp, by the reporter who provided the most details on the Chaouqui affair, whose signature seems to have disappeared from the newspaper and the magazine that had published his documented articles.
