Conspiracy Website Claims: Pope Benedict Was Forced To Resign Due To Blackmail Over Georg Ratzinger's Involvement In Sex Abuse Scandal!

DECLARATIO

Dear Brothers,

I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three canonizations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church. After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry. I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering. However, in today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the barque of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me. For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.

Dear Brothers, I thank you most sincerely for all the love and work with which you have supported me in my ministry and I ask pardon for all my defects. And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff. With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer.

From the Vatican, 10 February 2013

BENEDICTUS PP XVI

In the above resignation speech the Pope gave his reason for resigning - health.

Some silly conspiracy nuts claim that the real reason for the pope's resignation was due to blackmailing the pope over his elder brother's involvement in sex abuse that took place at the Regensburger Domspatzen pre-school and high school, where Georg Ratzinger was the choir master for over 35 years:

At least 547 young members of the Regensburger Domspatzen boys choir in Germany were subjected to physical and in some instances sexual abuse over a period of 60 years, a new report says. The report accuses 49 members of the Catholic Church of carrying out the abuse between 1945 and the early 1990s. The alleged perpetrators are unlikely to face criminal charges because of the amount of time that has elapsed. Victims said the experience was like "a prison, hell and a concentration camp". The alleged physical abuse relates to children attending both the Regensburger Domspatzen's pre-school and high school, according to the lawyer tasked with investigating the abuse, Ulrich Weber. Among those singled out for criticism in the report was former choirmaster Georg Ratzinger, elder brother of retired Pope Benedict XVI. Mr Weber said that while Mr Ratzinger, now 93, had no knowledge of sexual abuse, "one can accuse him of looking the other way and failing to intervene". BBC>>>>>

From the gossip and conspiracy website One Peter Five:

Meaning that 1P5 is in the business of trafficking in conspiracy theories and gossip. Steve Skojec has a habit of deflecting from his true intentions by starting out his articles by assuring us what he is not - but in fact he is. Most of Skojec's followers believe him.

Steve can do no wrong.

If any of the readers of  1P5 catch Steve in a lie or inconsistency and makes mention of it on DISQUS comments  Steve will delete the comment and ban the critic.

So when Steve says he is not in the gossiping business for click bait - he is in the gossiping business for click bait.

Steve claims to get all his information from unnamed sources.

Of course Steve wants his followers to believe every word he posts.

He claims to be a journalist.

Steve also demands donations - every month he wants your money to support his blogging habit.

Apparently most of his followers have no problem in giving their money to Steve.

Does Steve pay his unnamed and highly reliable sources for information? Or is the source of information free?

Here is his latest attempt to get attention for his conspiracy theories:

According to Skojec because Pope Benedict wrote the following that was read by Archbishop Georg Gänswein at the funeral of the late Cardinal Meisner:

the Lord does not abandon His Church, even if [sometimes] the boat has taken on so much water as to be on the verge of capsizing.

Pope Francis got soooo pissed over this comment on a ship taking on water that the Pope himself picked up the phone and called the BBC in the middle of the night and demanded that they publish a story on the elder brother of the Pope:

Three days after the words of Benedict were read at the funeral the BBC ran the story!

Proof that Pope Francis is not only blackmailing Pope Benedict but is holding Pope Benedict captive against his will!

Funny though - Steve says that Pope Francis is the Pope, but if Skojec believes that Pope Benedict was forced into resigning under threat of black mail and held captive against his will then that would mean that the election of Francis was invalid and that Pope Benedict is still the Pope.

This is lost on Steve and his followers.

They don't understand the corner that their cult leader has put them in.

So by all means have fun with the twisted logic of the fat blogger Steve
